Abattoir is an artist-run nomadic platform organized by artists who share studios in a listed barn in The Meatpacking District, Copenhagen. The name Abattoir - the English word for slaughterhouse - refers to the historical function of the place they work. Abattoir primarily showcases experimental exhibitions by artists with both Danish and international backgrounds.

The exhibition Free Range marks the opening of Abattoir.
Free Range is both an exhibition and opening party of Abattoir. The opening exhibition gives the artists' free range to show works at different stages of production.
